The Allison Foundation was started by George E. Nairn, Jr., in 2006 and is incorporated in the state of Maryland as a nonprofit organization.  After meeting and getting to know a young autistic child named Allison, he was inspired to do something to help Allison's family to afford her many therapy needs. George decided to combine his desire to help with his love for golf... and the first annual Allison Foundation Golf Tournament was born.

George continues to be overwhelmed by the response received in support of the Allison Foundation. The generosity of family, friends, and the community has poured in. See the tournament page for fun pictures and information.

In 2007, the foundation expanded its fundraising efforts from one event to three! In addition to the golf tournament, we held a family bowling tournament and a casino night. In 2008, the foundation extended its support of autistic children in Charles County by funding four children for a week of summer camp at Kamp A-Kom-Plish. In 2009, the Allison Foundation worked with Kamp A-Kom-Plish to set up a permanent scholarship fund, to be administered by the camp, for autistic camp participants. We continue to fund behavioral therapy for Allison and are constantly working to find ways to help other children.

George is the president of Nairn Technologies, Inc., a software development company. He lives in Port Tobacco with his wife, Gina, their children, Jeremiah and Mikayla, and two dogs, Jack and Jill.
